My Struggle on Day 1
I found the materials came fast and furious, there were times when it was too fast for me to follow and recognized conditions that I have seen in some of my students when they were faced with 'technology' related issues to which they were not familiar with. This occurs when the instructor is very familiar with the materials and working with software which is very well known and I can see how this can easily happen. It certainly will be something I will be sure to be aware of in the fututre.
My Reflection Day 1
Wow, technology. I thought I knew a few things or tools but today so far I realize just how many more are available and at my fingertips. The new words, the variety of knowledge through my collegues, the various classrooms we visited (only kidding) gave me a whole new perceptive into technology. There was alot of information flowing, most I absorbed, some I lost, it should be an interesting and intriguing course. I know I will have to stay focused and not get to frustrated when it moves quickly.
First day in Ed366h
What a day! I am wondering what in the world I have signed up for. I am struggling with the material that was presented today and I am feeling overwhelmed in so many ways. Wondering how it is possible to fit so much information into the two week period.
Day one WOW!!!
Wow! what am I in for. Today has been a learning experience in just learning to pay attention while trying to follow the instructions . My head just feels so full. I have to practice concentrating.
Day 10 Reflection
"I can see by the clock on the wall that it's time to say goodbye to one and all." Who used to sing this on TV ?
Presentations were great once again. The recipe book is superb and the string to show how things are interconnected was very cool. Good job by everyone. I will work on this blog later tonight after I've had time to ponder a bit.
Exploration of personal technology literacy
My first reflection is the heart pounting fear of starting a new course. Having a deep learning in one area of technology does not preclude having any learning in another area of technology. The exploration into what we already know was interesting. There are many areas that are in everyday usage. I try to remember that there was a first time to word, excel etc. Now, I don't think about it. They are tools that work for me, not the other way around.
reflection day 2
Another day of fast and furious learning. The review was a good idea as it gave us a refresher on what we covered yesterday. We worked on the traing manuals as a group . This was very educational and showed how if you write it down when you create something it is there for you and all others top use FOR EVER.......... It is nice there was no pressure to get it right the first time and the entire site appears to be a work in progress. next we discussed blogging which i still can't get my head around it's popularity but that may change by the end of the course.
Memoirs of Day 1, Ed366H
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we probably will not be expected to learn a list of cookie cutter technological tools during this class. As someone who has contributed to "Top 10 Tech Tools" presentations, newletters, etc, I am familiar with and aware of many of the cool Web 2.0 widgits and add ons. This is usually great, but not always transferrable to my teaching and learning. I am glad to find that I can pick a topic that will be relevant to me and share it with others who may also appreciate the relevance.
