Reflection day 7
WOW we had some great presenters today. the excel one Carl did was great as I used excel foe some grading last year but now I can use graphs as well. I would like to use that part for my basketball teams stats also. The wiki presentation was excellent but i would have loved to know this info 4 months ago as I am on the committee for my high school 25th reunion and we are emailing each other to death. I would love to try this also for a supper group I am involved in where 5 couples rotate where we have supper each month with everyone taking their turn hosting.
Day 7 presentations
The world of presentations, why is it that one gets nervous when among friends? Today was my day to present, I took a look at Microsoft Excel. Although i have limited expertise in the use of Excel ,I felt by the end of the presentation the classes input was as relevent as to what I had to offer. This presentation also shown me that I can take this type of knowledge (computer) and put it in my classroom.
Presentations Day 2
The presentations were well done. The material and facts provided sites which allowed me access and practice to create spreadsheets, wikis and host a video conference. I can see me using the first two comfortably only because through the presentation Ihad the opportunity to do it quickly and easily. I would take the first tool and incorporate Excel into a Toursim class that deals with statistics, facts and figures. The students can do the research and then plot it into the graph.
