Considerations for project

1) Assigning students in a class the requirement to develop a safe work practice and safe operating procedure for lab projects and equipment. There would have to be a standard outline created in advance, content requirements identified, a sample entry and some suggested resources. It would have to be moderated by the instructor. It would be a good exercise for the students to understand safety, the proper way operate equipment and it would build a reference manual to be used by all students.

2) Setting up a blog for students to create a reflective journal of their on-the-job training experience. They gain a tremendous amount of knowledge and interesting experiences while in the workplace but share only selected information with selected classmates. If they were required to put some reflections, photos, etc.. into their blog that could be shared with all students everyone could potentially learn something from the other job sites. It would also give a reference for future students to know what to expect when heading out for work experience.

3) I'd like to develop an online course in Angel (Sam) on sustainability/environmental stewardship that could be used in our center and hopefully get used by all students across the college.
