Another rich day of exchanges and learning from one another. One would think we would have maxed out by now but no we are still able to absorb more. I was excited today and pleased to see people bring their projects in with such passion. One witnesses the progress and our way of thinking elevate everyday.
Our learning community is great. What I liked today was the diversity and relevancy we were exposed to.Marcel started off today with a really neat activity- HTML -all about tables a. We were entertained with the interaction and intent , which was for me a tad bit over my head at this phase.I suspect if I enter the site and read my way through I too will likely be able to grasp more with some time and patience exercised. It was great to learn about it. Tip: rich text-always button one can manipulate.
Leslie's Cue Card project is great. I thought it was spelled with the letter"Q' , which shows my current mind! I welcomed hearing it could be downloaded, and it is accessible to reinforce notes. While I am not able to associate direct application for me today I would like to retain this so as to offer to someone else who might need such a tool. Good to have options, and again it might be supportive to me as well .
Sandy's did a super fine job of bringing Sam to our attention and the relevancy it has to his new role. I seen a lot of similarity to Moodle and I think I still lean toward Moodle for right now. I appreciated Sandy sharing the 'ease of making a discussion forum, hard part is coming up with a name that promotes "critical thought". I have held this thought before in a similar vein so it was good to hear it out into the air by someone else. Lessons, folders, : I welcomed Dave's offering of wisdom- having a minimum of 100 characters requirement so as to prevent the yes/no response. Good advice.
Still love the F11 tip, and now the 'logmein"site to check on contents of home computer when away from home. See some use of this one....
Our safety task analysis HC lesson was a blast in a number of ways and it is a resourceful way of approaching work that needs to get done. Well presented, interactive, with great take aways.
Now Hyperlink I was really intrigued with, and although I have tried it a few times tonight -i am missing something as it has not worked for me yet. I highlighted the word in the sentence-went to the toolbar to locate link or hyperlink-copied or typed in the URL(address) but nothing happened after clicking on the okay in the dialog box ..hmm. Will have to keep trying!
Closing the day I welcomed and appreciated Dave's tidbits again held out on - Apache, Corporate vs Open source, community literacy's Eduction 2.0, pcdcrapified, branding, etc. Free discussion is great for associating and helping one to think about the subject item. Possibilities seem endless!really liked discussion on branding- a whole new word!

Deb, You are absolutely a joy
Deb,
You are absolutely a joy to listen to. You could make licking an envelope sound like so much fun I'm sure. I think you should use some of the tools we have seen and record yourself so that your decendants can enjoy your wittiness as much as I have this week.
Take care.
