day 1 (first impression)

This is my first time using a networking site of any kind. It's similar to online technical forums that I've used in the past, but appears to be much more flexible. It is also my first time doing content sharing / collaboritive type computer work. It will be as big a physcological adjustment as it is a technological one. There is a lot of application info to absorb very quickly for someone who has never seen this stuff before.

I've also browsed the machine shop forums, but haven't contributed very much.
