Day 10 - Reflections
Well here we are - the last class - the pot luck smelled good - everyone ready to roll. The presentations were great - usually its hard to keep people's interest this late in a course on a sunny Friday afternoon, I think it is a testament of our interest and learning for the course and outstanding work that everyone has contributed!
Ken's jumpcut was great - a little bit of a steep learning curve but seems better than Movie maker.
Nancy's puzzle maker will be great for a home application for someone in our life - it will increase this persons enjoyment of life.
Susan's presentation was great - Suan must have invested a lot of time learning this program so well, she spent time with each group helping sort out problems and in the end we all had made a contribution - which is certainly a way to ensure ownership of the learning. This is a tool that will get use in the future.
Mark's presentation was very informative - the in class demonstration was an excellant visual aid in visualizing the connectedness of 'our system' before seeing where the 'mash' takes us So good to see how everything interacts and can be made to work for us - a great presentation for the end of the two weeks - helped bring together what we have been talking about.
Our wrap up was great there were lots of items Dave brought up that I was already thinking about. Its hard to believe that what we all had been overhelmed and intimidated with just twele days earlier has now become somewhat more comfortable and less daunting. I believe we will take away a great many tools to add to our teaching and every day lives, we will have or training manual which we will be able to refer to when ever we need it and hopefully when time allows will visit many of these tools for a deeper exploration. Although it wasn't readily apparent at the outset - this was a great course.

this and more
We really have only begun on our technology climb within virtual community and progress-not striving for perfection at all-it is all to fluid.
What we know.
Great tools- yes, but we know something now that most did not know at the beginning. We know that we can handle tools we did not even mention yet.
